The company's main competitive advantage in the international software services market is a partly unique software development management model developed as a result of 15+ years of research, which is an important intellectual capital of the company.

Our target customers are large international companies whose working language is English and who actively invest in the digitalization of their business processes. Important business verticals are finance and insurance, logistics, healthcare, public sector and telecommunications. In addition to international corporations, there are also medium-sized growth companies among the clients, whose competitiveness is based on innovative software and increasingly self-learning algorithms-based business processes.

Helmes' long-term vision is to be the best software services company in Europe, based on the most objective measurements of customer and employee satisfaction and economic efficiency. We have been methodically measuring customer subjective satisfaction through an external independent service provider since 2011. We measure employee satisfaction internally using a development methodology based on scientific research and adapted to the Helmes operating model.

Achieving the set vision means continuous research and development work in improving the methods of assembling, measuring and managing development teams, implementing technologies and supporting the continuous effective learning of employees and procurement partners.

The systems developed by Helmes are mostly technically complex and can be integrated with the client's existing and future other information systems. Our biggest cooperation partners in the standardized software market are Microsoft, SAP, Progress and Aurea Software. If necessary, we also use standard components from other manufacturers in our solutions.

Helmes' workforce is global and multinational. The company's headquarters is located in Tallinn, major development centers in Tallinn, Riga,

Tbilisi, Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipeda and Warsaw. In addition, there are smaller offices in San Diego (USA), New Jersey (USA), Mumbai (India) and Tartu (Estonia). Due to the changed geopolitical situation, we closed the Helmes office in Minsk. In 2022, we established subsidiaries

in Poland and Georgia. Teams also work for shorter periods at clients' locations abroad. In 2022, Helmes had an average of 1,053 full-time equivalent employees across all countries (an average of 960 employees in 2021).

Based on the 2022 financial results, Helmes is one of the larger and more successful software solution exporters in both Estonia and the Baltic States.

The organizational model is based on professional partnership. Among other things, partnership means that all teams, key individuals and also external procurement partners participate in the distribution of unit profits.
